Dual Tour

On January 28, 2016 we had a Dual Language Immersion Program Tour at WGE for a general meeting and classroom visits to learn how to enroll their child in this program.   We had several parents, staff from other school sites and district staff member join us for this tour.

She retired from WGE 17 years ago, after 38 years of teaching in MUSD.

The Seal of Biliteracy

seal of biliteracy.jpgThe Seal of Biliteracy is an award given by a school, school district, or county office of education in recognition of students who have studied and attained  proficiency in two or more languages by high school graduation.

The Seal of Biliteracy appears on the transcript or diploma of the graduating senior and is statement of accomplishment for future employers and for college admissions.

The State Seal of Biliteracy is intended to:

Recognize students who have acquired proficiency in English and additional

  • Encourage the learning of all languages
  • Emphasize the value of knowing many languages
  • Contribute to global understanding
  • Promote language learning as a lifelong endeavor
